Nebula is the second full album by the band ‘As the World Dies’ from Birmingham, England. The album start with some atmospheric 80’s synths and transforms later into brutal progressive Doom, Death, Stoner Metal with even some Industrial and Thrash Metal parts in some of their songs. The songs are sludgy and have that really great melodic guitar sound. Also the (screaming) vocals are deep and intense and during the song ‘Dark Oblivion’, Jay even sounds like Mille from the German Thrash Metal band Kreator. It’s a variated album with a lot of different elements. Overall its modern, but I also hear some OSDM back in their sound, think about bands like: Benediction, Asphyx, Entombed and Bolthrower. A nice album with some apocalyptic storytelling.
