If you love your music dirty, you can’t really go wrong with The Villainz. Their brand of garage rock is dirtier than my girlfriends knickers after a good and sexy workout. These folks hail from Marseille in France and have the filthiness and sexiness in their sound down to a T. So now that’s out of the way we can now concentrate on the quality of the songs.
Unfortunately that is a little below par. However enticing and inviting it might all sound, it’s also all very shallow. And that is a pity, as I was expecting them to have me so much enthralled into their music that my tongue would be dragging on the ground.
Maybe my expectations were too high. I don’t know. Before you discard them all together, have a listen. Might be it’s more your cup of tea. I’ll have another scotch. If so, look them up on their Bandcamp site. You can buy all their music to date as a physical CD or as a digital album.
