The new CD of this local Brabant Metal band was given to us by our old-Office chief Ursula. The Cult Of Aggemar is coming from the Dongen area and is playing a sort of Crossover mixture of new and old school styles of Metal. Overall it sounds very groovy and 90ies to us. Its unique and authentic, a wall of sound with a story to tell. The lyrics are in-depth with a deeper story behind and the band is using multiple vocal styles, including: clean, grunts-screams and raps. Most comparable bands are: Korn, Machine Head, Body Count, all with sometimes a Dark Doom touch. These five lads from North Brabant set up something by their own and are definitely no cheesy copycat.
-They also added a very short song in native Dutch tongue, which is probably a joke.
‘’Iedereen moet allemaal dood’’.
A fine release but for the future please use no CD-R.
Last but not least. A typical problem for some musicians. Use the internet a little bit more and spread your music around the globe. This because even I (Marco) didn’t knew about them and they are a local qualified Metal band from my region. Nevertheless thumbs up.
