Racer Steel is a Chilean heavy metal band. This is their debut album and I feel they have done themselves proud with this effort. They play old fashioned heavy/speed metal in the eighties style and do that very well. It's simple, it's heavy, it's rocking.

No Time To Go Back is an apt title, because with a band like Racer Steel playing this kind of music you really don't need to look back. I actually am quite enjoying going at it and trying to have my grey head of hairs to start moving around, whilst being careful not to injure my neck because of the dire need to bang my head to the music.

At first it feels as if the production is a little light for this kind of intensity, but once you get into No Time To Go Back you realise it's actually exactly what Racer Steel stands for. Straight forward very fast heavy/speed metal that has impressed me more than I thought it would.

I'm afraid that at the time of writing this is only available on CD through the record company. Who knows, maybe if demand is high enough they'll opt for the vinyl version as well. One can only hope.
